Everson has been doing better and better in nursery. Today was the best he has ever done. Todd took him in stayed about 15 minutes and when Everson was occupied with cars the nursery leader suggested to him to leave and see how Everson does. Everson didn't ask for either myself or Todd until about 15 minutes before the end of church, which was about an hour and a half. This gave us great hope that the day will come when he will be running to go to nursery and leave us in the dust.

"Dook Dars."
One of Everson's favorite things to do right now is cook with my pots and pans. He asked me so many times to "dook dars" with him. Translation COOK CARS. He loves putting his cars in the pots to cook them and then he taste tests every single one of them. It is so funny. I also get the priviledge to taste test his cars. Lucky me!

Chocolate Pudding Pie
Everson helped me make a chocolate pudding pie while Todd was at a meeting. His favorite part was licking the spatula clean. He was a pro at scraping the bowl clean.

Me want cookie.....dough!
While Todd was getting Canon to go to sleep, I decided to make cookies and Todd suggested to enlist the help of Everson. Everson has helped me make things before like french toast and muffins but his interest in adding the ingredients was very short lived. So, I didn't think making cookie dough would be any different. I was totally wrong. Everson sat on the counter and wanted to help put every single ingredient into the bowl. He even wanted to turn the mixer on and off. When I have made cookie dough in the past, Todd and I have tried to get Everson to eat the cookie dough, but he would refuse and get mad if we kept insisting and tried to force him to eat it. Today was a little different. Once the cookie dough was complete, I let Everson eat some chocolate chips out of the bag and then gave him a chocolate chip out of the dough thinking that he would just spit it out. WRONG. He loved it and kept asking for more. I have created a monster. Now I have to share my cookie dough with Todd and Everson. What have I done?

A day with the Coopers!
We were able to drive down to Springfield, OR and spend the day with Todd's brother, Bill, and his family. It was so great to see them, since we only usually see them twice a year (Thanksgiving and 4th of July). First, we all went out to eat brunch, at IHOP, which was delicious. I could eat breakfast food any time of day. We then went to the hotel where they were going to be staying and some of them swam. Some of them being, Bill, Will, Kayla, Deda, Todd, and Everson. I don't know if we can really count Everson since he pretty much just cried like Todd was torturing him in the pool the whole time. A few minutes of that was enough so Everson just sat with Mema and watched the others swim. I of course had to feed Canon, which was great since the water was cold, and I don't do well in cold water, like my sister in-law Kendra. We stayed nice and warm and dry on the side watching our family members shivering bodies. Swimming came to an end and we just hung out in Jeanette and Chucks room hoping Everson would take a short nap. As Todd and I predicted, the nap did not happen so we prepared ourselves for the worst. Luckily there were cousins, an Aunt, Uncle and Grandparents to keep the little guy occupied and distracted from realizing how tired he actually was. Dinner time came, and off to another restaurant to eat we went. We went to the Roadhouse Grill which Will and Kayla thought was pretty neat because you get to throw your peanut shells on the floor. Everson also got in on the action, but didn't understand that ONLY the peanut shells should be thrown on the floor. Dinner was over and it was time our visit came to an end. Goodbyes were exchanged, extra long hugs between the brothers were given! :) Then off we went.
Bill, Kendra, Will and Kayla, it was great to see all of you. We wish you lived closer and that we could get together more often. Thanks for a great day. We love you!
After being traumatized in the pool. Usually Everson only gets his binky in bed, but since his nap was being skipped this day, he was allowed his binky as much as he wanted.

Brothers?
We still do not know how much our two little guy's will look like brothers. One day we think that Canon is just a darker image of Everson and other days we think they don't look that much alike at all. Take a look at the picture and let us know what you think.

Our little daredevil!
Everson was rocking on his stationary bike and decided it wasn't as exciting as he would like so he took matters into his own hands and started doing tricks.
He started out with the feet and hands on the handlebars. That wasn't exciting enough so he decided to go no hands!

Timber!
Todd and I have been contemplating whether or not to cut down the big pine tree in our front yard. We like the tree for it's shade, but hate the pine needles and pine cones that fall from it and disturb our yard. I looked out our front window today in just enough time to see Todd walking to the front door and two men I did not recognize get out of a truck. Todd walked in the house and announced that he agreed to let the two strangers outside cut down our tree. I'll I said was, "I'll go get the camera." They first cut off the huge branch that was pretty much like a small tree. I was inside the house holding Canon sitting at the window to get a good view of the action. Todd was outside with the camera. Once I saw where the guy was making his first cut with the chainsaw I started to get nervous. It didn't seem like he was cutting the branch in the right place to make it fall into our yard. I had a feeling the branch would fall towards the house right where Canon and I were sitting. So, I got up on my feet from my sitting position and started to walk backwards while watching the guy make his second but. Sure enough, my feeling was correct. The branch came crashing down right infront of the window I was previously sitting at with Canon. (I had ran safely to the dining room once I saw the branch start to fall). Luckily, the branch just nicked the gutter and no damage was done. It did make Todd and I a little nervous for them to cut down the rest of tree. Todd made the guy reassure that the tree will not fall that close to our house. So, as you can see, our tree is gone and I love it.

Canon's Blessing
We blessed Canon at church today and we were so happy that everyone in the family that live around here could make it. It was great to see everyone and we hope we can all get together again soon.

2 Month Appt.
Canon had his 2 month doctors appointment today and did great. When we were taken back into the room by the nurse and I was getting him out of his car seat, the nurse made that comment of how big he was and asked how much he weighed. I told her that we haven't weighed him at home but I was really curious. She guessed, just by looking at him that he was going to be upper 10 pounder or lower 11 pounder. I thought the same. I got Canon all naky and placed him on the scale. I think both I and the nurse said, "oh my gosh" at the same time. He was exactly 14 pounds. For those of you who don't know, babies are suppose to be double their weight by their 6 month appointment and Canon is just 6 ounces off doubling his weight. YIKES! We have a chubbers on our hands. Look at those cheeks.

"Are you serious?"
Everson and I were playing with his cars today and I thought it would be cool to build a tunnel out of cardboard for his cars. So I did and was really excited to show him and thought he would be just excited to send his cars down his ramp and through the tunnel. I told him with excitement what I had done, showed him the tunnel I made and showed him how it works. He then proceeded to look at me with this face, which translates to, "Are you serious? You don't think I know what a tunnel is?" Since I missed the initial look, he was kind enough to do it again when I pulled out the camera. I know I will be seeing that face from him for the rest of my life.
