Drum roll please!

Baby Boy Cooper's name is...Canon Thueson Cooper!
We got home from the hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 30th and have loved being home and not cooped up in a hospital room. Everson has been so good with Canon. He is a little controlling with Canon. Everson likes telling us when to pick the baby up and who gets to hold his baby. Other than that he has been really sweet, always wanting to kiss Canon and share his toys with him. We had to explain to Everson that Canon cannot catch a ball or read a book or play with his remote control car, so please do not try and share those toys with him, even though it is a very sweet of him to want to. We are having a great time being a family of four!

Surprise, he came 12 days early!

We are pleased to announce the arrival of our new baby boy! I had my first contraction at 4am, woke Todd up at 5am, checked into the hospital at 6:40am not knowing I was already 10cm dialated. The nurse scooted us swiftly from triage to the delivery room where we found out the baby was coming and drugs were not an option. A few pushes later, Baby Boy Cooper came into this world at 7:13am, weighing 7lbs 3oz and 20.75 inches. As you can see he has a full head of dark brown /black hair. Everson couldn't stop kissing his new brother when he came to visit and seemed very happy to see him. Hopefully he will be just as happy when we bring baby brother home tomorrow! (A name is yet to be decided)

Two More Weeks to go!

Nusery!

Today was Everson's first time in nusery at church. He was suppose to go in last week, but with the weather and church being cancelled, that didn't happen. Todd took him in, introduced him to one of the teachers and left. He was happy for the first 15 minutes or so, then got a little anxious and started looking around for Dad. So Todd stepped in the room and stayed in there until I came to relieve him the last hour. I had to stay in there the whole time with Everson and he asked for his Daddy throughout the hour. It probably didn't help that he woke up two hours before his usual time in the morning. He was so tired the last hour and just wanted his Dad and to go home. Our church time changes to 9am starting next week. We are hoping next week goes a little better since it doesn't run over his nap time. Wish us luck!
If anyone has any tips on how to make this transition into nursery, please share!

Gift Exchange & Sledding!

It was so much fun to get together as family to exchange gifts from our secret santas. Bill and his kids were also able to be there through the phone while we opened gifts. We had so much fun all together inside and outside the house. It was the perfect night to go sledding. We had a blast. Everson actually liked sledding this time. He kept asking to go again after every run. We couldn't have asked for a better night!

Our new niece!

We had a cute little addition to our extended family. My brother Chad and his wife Carin had a little girl, Kyrie Lynn Thueson, on Dec. 19th. She was 6lbs. 9oz, 19inches long and born at 8:34pm. As you can she is has so tiny with dark brown hair and grayish eyes. We were so glad that we were able to make the drive to the hospital to see her. Congratulations Chad and Carin!

Even though it woke her up and made her whine a little bit, I had to unwrap her to see her cute tiny body.

Yeah Snow!

We finally got a chance to play out in the snow without worrying about the wind and freezing to death. This time Everson was very excited to go outside. Once again, all Everson was interested in was eating the snow and occasionally throwing a snowball. Having Todd work from home is so great. He was able to take a break to play outside with us. Everson has been very spoiled with Daddy time, which is great! We wouldn't want it any other way.

Everson and Todd attempting to build a snowman. It turned out to be a snow mound.

Getting ready to throw his snowball at me!

He decided this big snowball would be easier to eat straight off the ground rather than try and pick it up.
So proud that he was able to pick it up.

Snow

Everson did not want to wear his jacket or gloves or hat. We kept telling him "Yea, snow!" He would reply with "No, snow." After we got him all dressed up and let him eat the snow, he loved it. It is too bad that the wind has been so strong and crazy so we haven't been able to enjoy the snow as much as we would like.

Prego!

27 weeks along
30.5 weeks

32.5 weeks

36.5 weeks (as of today, Dec.17th)

I am not sure how much room is left in me for the little guy to grow. He is very low and pressing on every nerve imaginable.

Eating Chips

This is Everson eating some chips. He started out sitting next to his plate.
Then he layed down beside his plate.

That seemed to work out well, but I guess he didn't think so.

Everson decided that eating the food straight off the plate with his mouth was the best way.

Uncle Scott!

Everson had so much fun with Uncle Scott these passed couple days. Scott would come over for lunch and bring onion rings, french fries and soda pop. Everson sucked down the soda pop without taking a breath, which was so funny. His eyes watered up, but he still wouldn't stop jugging it (he has had a lot of practice jugging soda pop thanks to Deda). French fries are another favorite! Everson does love them, but was very good at sharing with Uncle Scott. Thanks Scott for coming over!

Monkey Boy!

Everson loves bananas, but refuses to eat them if I cut them and put them on his tray. He has to hold onto the entire banana.

He also tries to eat the banana with a fork. Doesn't exactly work.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving with my family down in Salem at my sisters house. Everyone was able to be there. Of course the time I do remember to bring my camera I don't take any pictures of our yummy Thanksgiving dinner or everyone at the table. My bad! The only pictures taken the entire time was the ones below. Scott, my brother in-law thought that Everson would really like to go feed the ducks and geese across the street from where he works. There were so many ducks and geese, I have to admit I was a little bit afraid at first that I was going to get my knees and ankels nipped at. The geese were as big as Everson and surrounded us the minute we started throwing them bread. Everson loved it but got jealous that the birds were getting at the bread, so he started eating it and didn't want to give them anymore. That was a good sign that it was time to leave.

Everson loved feeding the birds, but he didn't want to leave the safety of his Daddy!
