Happy 3rd Birthday Canon !

Canon turned 3 today! When it was time to blow out the candles, he got a little close blowing out the first one that his nose got a little too hot, which he didn't like. He ended up crying and not wanting to blow out the rest of the candles. Nothing a piece of cake wouldn't fix! His tears were gone by the time he took his first bite of his Spider Man cake. Note to self for next year, supervise child blowing out candles closer then in the past. We can't really say he is getting so big because he is kind of a light weight. We can say, we love that little guy!

Presents take two

We got back to our house and had more presents to open from Mema, Deda, Bill and Kayla. Everson and Canon were excited to do more present opening. They are obssessed with Star Wars and loved their new action figures and Bridger got some much needed teething toys and snack holders.

Merry Christmas

My whole family was together for Christmas this year. My parents house reached maximum capacity. Everson and Canon are at the age where opening presents is fun. The classic reaction of Everson opening a present with clothes in it, "this present is boring." This was followed by myself and Todd urging him to be thankful for clothes, which then got the response of, "thank you," in a very sad and slow tone. His reaction got better as the present opening commenced. Canon was happy opening any presents regardless of the contents. He liked the ripping of the wrapping paper and tearing open the boxes. Poor Bridger was napping while we were all upstairs opening presents. We don't think he minded at all. He got to open his presents once he was well rested. The boy preferred trying to eat the wrapping paper over playing with his presents of course. Of course Mom and Dad had so much yummy food to eat. We played, sat around, , took trips to Newport, ran into friends, and just enjoyed time together.
We love our family! Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday to us Four!

Pictures to come!

Since my whole family was together for Christmas we thought we could celebrate birthdays that either had just passed or in the near future. So, we celebrated my nieces Kyrie (12/19), Canon (12/29), Jen (1/6), and my brother Mark's (1/6), birthday's. My very talented Aunt Margie made amazing cakes for each one of us. I did not get any pictures taken with my camera so I am waiting on getting pictures from those that took some with their cameras. It was fun to celebrate the birthday's all together, and especially eat some yummy cake. Canon was the champ of devouring their cake. If we couldn't find him, he was back at the table snitching some icing off his cake or gouging his finger in it to get another bite.

Gift Exchange

Another successful gift exchange party! We missed those that were traveling out of town and who don't live here. Good company, good food, and good memories.

What can I say, all three boys love playing in the bath!

Everson was making Bridger laugh when he laughed, it was too cute.

Look at me

Bridger is now pulling himself up on everything so he can stand up and look around. He loves looking out the window at the people on walks and the cars driving by. We think he is pretty darn cute and he knows it.

Christmas Story

We love very rarely have our living room light on anymore since the tree lights are always on. Everson and Canon love sitting by the tree and reading a book. One of their favorites is, How the Grinch Stole Christmas. It was too cute of a moment not to take pictures of it.

This is one of my favorite pictures. The only thing that would make it better is if Bridger were sitting with them.

Fall leaves

Everson had fun helping me rake the leaves and then of course jump in them and throwing them in the air.

Bath time with the brothers

Bridger is at the point where he can sit in the bath tub without constantly being held so he wouldn't fall over. It was his first time staying in the bath tub and playing with his brothers. Bridger had so much fun and Everson and Canon thought it was pretty cool too.

Halloween 2011

We thought the kids would be too cold and tired to go to a lot of houses, so we started off going to the neighbors that we know. Little did we know the kids had another idea. They were ready to go to every single house in the neighborhood. Canon was a pumpkin, Everson was a dragon and Bridger was a bumble bee. Our nieces Kyrie who was Cinderella, and Brooklyn who I didn't get a picture of and sister in-law came trick or treating with us. At the last few houses the boys would ring the doorbell and when the person came to the door, instead of yelling trick or treat like the boys, Kyrie let out the most excited scream. It was so funny! It was a little bit chilly, but everyone had a lot of fun!

So tired

Everson has been riding his bike to school almost everyday and I have been pushing the younger two in the bike trailer (my bike has a flat). Bridger usually goes down for a nap after we drop Everson off, but I guess today he was just too tired and couldn't wait until we got home. Canon was so cute and put his arm around Bridger to keep him warm and so he wouldn't fall over.

Family Pictures

It was about time to get a family pictures with Bridger in it now that he can sit up and look at the camera. I enlisted the help of my parents while we were down visiting them. My dad's job was to take the pictures, and my Mom's job was to get all three boys to look at the camera. If you know my Mom, you can imagine that she was very entertaining to watch. Todd was even caught looking at her instead of the camera. We now have an updated family picture hanging in our house!

He sits!

Bridger has graduated to the sitting position. He does really well sitting playing with toys now. Eventually he does topple over and ends up lying on his stomach. He's just an all around happy, easy going boy!

First Day of Preschool

This was Everson's first day of preschool. It was only half a day and a parent was suppose to go with them so I went with him. He was a little nervous, but warmed right up when he saw how many different kinds of animal toys they had. He met his teachers for the first time and really took to one of them, Mrs. Franklin. We can't believe he is in school.

Today was Everson's first full day of school. I admit I was a little nervous because he is the type of kid that does not like new things or being dropped off somewhere and not have myself or Todd staying with him. In the past he has cried and usually had to be restrained from running after us. While walking to his school, which is only a few blocks from our house, I kept talking about how they get to play all day and how much fun he would have. Everson kept asking me why I couldn't stay with him. I had warned the teachers a head of time that he might bust into tears but would be fine after I left. I prepared myself for the worst, but luckily Everson surprised me. We walked into the school, put his snack in his cubby, washed his hands, and found Mrs. Franklin who acted so excited to see Everson. He sat right down beside her, I said goodbye, he looked at me, didn't say a word, then continued his activity with Mrs. Franklin. I wasn't even going to chance saying goodbye again or giving him a kiss so I hustled out of there.

The time came to pick him up from school and he was full of smiles and told me he had so much fun! The teachers said he was great!

At the Park

It was such a nice evening and we know we don't have many more left so we called up Todd's parents and invited them up to the park with us. A great way to end a day!

Dirt, Family Pictures, Birthday, Bowling

Leveling our front yard. The boys loved helping dad shovel dirt!
Family picture on a timer. If Bridger was looking at the camera it would have been a pretty good picture!
Individual family pictures!
We celebrated my sisters birthday while we were all together before Mark and Annette left for Utah. Everson helped Shel blow out her candles and Canon gave Shel the best kiss after she opened her present from her!
We decided to pack everyone up and go bowling. It was the boys and Kyrie's first time bowling. The kids didn't know what to think, but once they had a turn, they were totally into it. Bridger even got to bowl, sort of.
My niece, Kyrie, had her own way of bowling. She used her head to push the ball down the ramp.
When it wasn't our turn bowling we used the time holding any kid near us and of course dancing!
This is my favorite picture of the night!

Fun boating

We have a lot of fun going boating. Canon loved driving the boat and Everson loved inner-tubing. Even though Bridger was shoved into an over-sized life jacket, he was very content.

Of course we had to stop for a potty break! Everson and Canon thought it was pretty cool that they were allowed to pee into the water.

Cute Bridger

Just because we think he is so cute!

Luau!

We went to a fun luau at the beautiful Fallbrooks farm. We enjoyed dinner, seeing horses, dancers, and of course eating shaved ice!

Enjoying our yummy shaved ice while watching the Fijian dancers.

He passed!

Everson did a great job and passed level 1 swim lessons. He started out a bit timid, which you can read about here if you haven't already. Anyway, the one thing that he had a hard time doing was putting his face in the water for 3 seconds. He would do it for us, but refused to do it when he was at swimming lessons. We kept having him practice it and when it was time for the teacher to test the kids on whether they could do all the things on the check list, Everson stepped up and did it with ease. YEAH!!

Happy to pass level 1
Of course he had to give us a not smiling face after a good smiling face.

We love them!

Canon asked to hold Bridger today and then of course Everson wanted to hold him too which led to me thinking it would be a good photo opportunity.

We love our boys!

William's family!

One of Todd's buddies, Joe, from BYU-H and his mission, was in town with his family and needed a place to stay for a couple nights. Todd hadn't seen Joe in 11 years. We were more then happy to have them stay with us. Joe and his wife, Reiko, were so nice and such easy going guests. Their kids, Tendo and Rhonda were so cute! Our boys loved having new friends stay with us. We loved having them stay with us!

Having fun playing outside. I might have gone a little overboard taking pictures of Rhonda, but with a face like that, how could I not.
The boys loved being bounced by Joe on the trampoline.
Canon, Tendo and Everson played well together.

First Haircut

It was about time that we gave Bridger his first haircut. He hadn't lost any of his newborn hair which made him have a mullet and looked like he was wearing a toupee. Todd did a great job! Sorry I don't have a before and after.

Swim Lessons

Let's just say Everson was not exactly thrilled we signed him up for swim lessons. He is a timid child who does not like new things. Just as we thought he started to cry, and we thought, he will be the kid crying and sitting on the side of the pool the entire time. Thankfully we were wrong. His wonderful swim instructor, Teacher TJ, was amazing. He was able to get Everson to stop crying and coerce him into the pool about 7 minutes after lessons started. Everson even smiled during some of the lesson!

Let's go fly a kite

Everson told me one day that next time we go to Lola and Grandpa's he wanted to go to the beach and fly kites. We told him we would definitely do that and hoped the weather would cooperate with us. Lola and Grandpa bought the boys Star Wars, Toy Story and Spiderman kites. It was a little windier then we would have liked, but the kites flew great and we all had fun! Canon liked collecting some shells and Everson liked to run after and scare the seagulls.
