More swimming

We should know by now that when the word, smile, is said our boys make silly faces instead.  Thank goodness for the pool to cool us down on hot days!  The boys are getting more comfortable in the water every time!

Another day at the beach

We thought the beach would be nice and sunny and perfect because that is what the weather man said.  Instead it was kind of cold and the water was absolutely freezing.  Did that stop us from having fun?  NO!!  We still played in the water until our legs got numb and stopped hurting.  Everyone still got wet and sandy while building sand castles and tunnels.  Bridger had fun boogie boarding on the sand!  Another fun day at the beach!

Sleeping?

We thought the boys were sound asleep since it had been over an hour after we put them to bed.  Little did we know they had built a fort on the bottom bunk and were playing very quietly so we wouldn't hear them.  Very sneaky!

Camp 18 & the beach

We took a spontaneous trip to the beach, thanks to the Atack's, but not without a stop off to get some yummy food at Camp 18.

Eating our yummy food and posing with wood sculptures!

Enjoying our time at the beach.  It was a little over cast, but still warm, no wind, and the water wasn't too bad either.  The boys got very wet and sandy and we loved every minute of it!
Thank you Atack's for letting us tag along!

My new nephew

I'd like you to meet my new nephew, Oliver Scott Severson!
My sister and brother in-law welcomed this big bundle of joy into their family on July 18th, @ 4:11am, weighing in at 9lbs 2oz.  I love him!

Pool with friends

We had a good time with the Walker's.  The underwater camera is a big hit!  Pool time and then back home for a BBQ.  A great end to the day!

Pool and date night

We are making progress.  Everson put his face in the water, Bridger doesn't mind getting dunked still and Canon was brave enough to jump in as long as I didn't let him go underwater.  Baby steps.

Todd and I don't go out much without the kids but thought a night out would be good.  So we doubled with our good friends Ryan and Lisa.  We went downtown to an ice cream shop called, Salt & Straw.  This place had some very strange ice cream flavors like, pears and blue cheese.  None of us got that flavor, but we did get some unusual ones.

I got, Sea salt with caramel ribbon and Cinnamon Snickerdoodle.  Todd got Almost brittle with salted gnache and double vanilla.  I forget what Ryan and Lisa got.  I liked my flavors but Todd wasn't too excited about his.  It was a fun change compared to the typical flavors you usually have to choose from.

Pool and ouchys

Another day at the pool.  One out of three boys like to go underwater, Bridger!  Everson and Canon do love the water and swimming around with Todd and I.

On the walk home Everson tripped and fell and skinned up his knee.  Then of course, Canon had to follow in his footsteps a block later.  Here they are both on the couch being very dramatic about very small scrapes on their knees.  Time for bed!

Pool time

We love having a pool just a few blocks away and friends just a few houses away to go with.  Todd got me a waterproof camera and I was so excited to try it out.  Since our boys are the bravest kiddos and don't like to go underwater yet, I took pictures of our friends kids so are great swimmer!  It was so fun to take underwater pictures of them.  We had a lot of fun and see ourselves swimming a lot this summer!

Visiting the Portland Temple

What better way to spend a Sunday evening then to go walk around the temple grounds with family!  All Bridger wanted to do was get in the reflecting pool.  While being supervised by his cousin McKayla, he managed to do so!

Happy 4th of July

Such a fun day/night it was!  We watched a parade, had a family BBQ, then up to the green space we went to visit with all the friends and family, and eat some yummy treats!  The boys were so great and loved the fireworks!

King of the hill

We are leveling our backyard which means lots and lots of dirt.  We had somewhere between 30-36 yards (three dump trucks full) of dirt for the job.  The boys absolutely loved having a huge dirt hill to dig in, climb up and slide down.

Bridger loves to try and keep up with his older brothers.  So he took it upon himself to climb the giant hill.  I didn't think he was going to make it, but with some slipping and his determination to get up to his brothers he did it!

We are happy to say the dirt hill is no longer there, but smoothed out evenly waiting for grass seed!
