The Hoods!

We Heidi, Mike and Jordyn over for dinner and to play tonight. The kids played great together, for the most part and the adults got to catch up.

The Sit n' Spin is still a big hit! Canon and Jordyn taking their turn.

This is Mike trying to beat Todd's record of 22 shots made in a row in Everson's little basketball hoop. Sadly, Heidi and Mike didn't even come close to beating Todd. Practice, practice practice!!

More Sit n' Spin Fun

Everson giving Kyrie a ride on the Sit n' Spin
Kyrie trying to give Canon a ride. The extra weight made it a little difficult.
Kyrie was so smart and figured out on to spin herself.

Reading with Daddy!

The boys love reading books, but really love it when it is with Daddy!

Milkshake!

The boys love Daddy's milkshakes. Todd hardly gets any for himself.

"Hey why did he get that bite, I wanted it!"
Finally, a bite for me!

Sit n' Spin

We had another great find at Goodwill. The infamous Sit n' Spin! Everson was the one who picked it out and brought it over to the cart. So, we bought it and it has been a big hit ever since.

It's not only a Sit n' Spin, but also a Stand n' Spin
Canon thinks it pretty cool too!

Baby it's cold outside!

We had a good time tonight with Aunt Carin and cousin Kyrie over for dinner and to play. Even though it was a bit chilly outside that is where the kid wanted to be.

Having fun going down the slide. Kyrie loved to go down feet first on her belly! Everson said he goes super fast. Canon just goes down the regular way and thinks it is the greatest thing ever.

Kyrie was so excited to be on the trampoline. She started running in place. Everson is becoming quite the trampoline jumper. He did so well with the little ones on the trampoline with him. Canon and Kyrie loved to run around and then run over to the net where Carin was to touch her face or give her kisses!
I love this picture. Canon and Kyrie loved jumping with Todd while he bounced Everson in the air. Their faces are priceless!
The fun had to come to an end. Their noses and toes were bright red by the time we went back inside. The two little ones did not want to come inside and started to cry and throw fits when we shut the door so they couldn't get out anymore. Everson was ready to come inside to get nice and warm since he refused to wear a sweatshirt.

Just another day!

Eating snacks and watching Daddy work! A couple of my boys' favorite things to do!

Yumminess!

I love having kids because it gives me reasons to make all kinds of desserts that I wouldn't usually make just for me. Cookies are one of those things I love. The dough doesn't always make it to the freshly baked cookie stage, but no matter what it is so yummy!

Biker Man

Another beautiful day that we couldn't waste, so outside we went. We started in our backyard going down the slide, jumping on the trampoline and just running around. Then Todd had the idea of finally teaching Everson how to ride his bike, so out into the street we went. We had tried in the past on our back patio, but it isn't very flat and it's not a smooth surface. At first Everson had no concept of steering, but got better. It was so cute to see how happy he was to pedal himself down the road. The boy was overjoyed with the whole riding his bike.....if you couldn't tell from the picture!

Canon was his good little self just as happy as can be being held, watching his brother and clapping whenever we cheered for Everson.

Busy Weekend!

So this morning after breakfast Todd comes upstairs and says something along the lines of, if you wanted to take the boys and go down to your parents this weekend, I would be okay with that.

Translation: I have so much work to do this weekend that it would be better if you take the boys down to your parents house so I can work all day on Saturday and not feel guilty for not spending time with you and the boys.

I called my parents, got me and the boys packed, got the van loaded up, took care of my church Primary responsibilities and was on the road. I was a little nervous for the three hour drive by myself with a newly potty trained boy to worry about. Thank goodness the boys did great. We only made one stop on the way down. First thing Everson wanted to do when we first arrived at their house was play air hockey. So Lola and Everson played for a while. He also challenged Grandpa to some air hockey. I wish I would have taken some pictures or video of him playing. Maybe next time. Canon enjoyed sitting on their pool table taking the pool balls in and out of the pockets. He got pretty good and rolling the balls into the pockets instead of just dropping them in.
We watched movies, ate yummy food, played, slept, and of course went to the aquarium. Canon actually seemed interested in some of the exhibits. Everson didn't care about anything except the sharks. So that is where we spent the majority of our time.

On the drive home we had about one more hour when Everson told me he needed to go pee. So I took the next exit and really did not feel like taking both boys out of their car seats to go inside some gas station germ infested bathroom. Instead I saw a hotel that had two cars in it's parking lot. I went to the farthest parking spot from the building, got Everson out of the car, stood him in the grass, pulled down his pants and told him to pee. He looked at me with confusion because he had never peed outside before. I told him to pee on the grass. Still, a confused look on his face so I threw a red leaf out in front of him and told him to pee on the red leaf. The confused look went away and happiness upon him to which he said, "animals pee outside." " Yes they do!" I confirmed with a little bit of a giggle. He peed on the leaf like a pro and was so proud of himself. Again I should have pulled out my camera to take a picture of this moment, but I was really tired of driving and wanted to get back on the road. Everson told me that he wanted to pee outside when we got home.
We had a lot of fun and Todd was able to get the work done that he needed.
