Happy Valentines Day!

I really stink at remembering to take a family picture during special occasions or Holiday's. Hopefully this year will be different. Right before we left for church this morning I got the family together to take picture, because I knew it would never happen if we waited until after church. The timer was set, I wrangled up Canon knelt down and flash, didn't make it in time. Todd also had to remind Everson that we would like him to smile instead of making a silly face.

This was our third and final attempt. I know, not the greatest picture, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Family Movie Night

We try and have family movie night once a month. Both boys enjoy it but still do not sit through the entire movie. Instead of watching a movie tonight we watched a few new Wonder Pets episodes. Wonder Pets is one of Everson's favorite shows.....we wish it wasn't. Anyway, tonight while watching the show Canon decided he wanted to sit by his big brother on their Sesame Street couch so he walked on over there and plopped down. Todd and I watched the boys instead of the show because they were so cute sitting there together.

Canon thought he was pretty cool sitting in his big brothers chair all by himself.

Canon was very excited that Everson let him sit next to him and share the blanket.

These are the faces they usually make when watching a show/movie. Canon loves to hold one of Todd's Xbox controllers while watching. He thinks he is playing a game.

Time Out

This is what happens when Everson gets put in time out for hurting Canon. I think this defeats the effectiveness of time out when your little brother, whom you have just hurt, goes over to keep you company.

I told Everson he had to look a little bit sad for being put in time out and this is the face he made.

Jumper

We have a jumper on our hands. Everson jumps off anything and everything he can. He of course also loves to jump over things, like pillows, blankets, books, and his little brother (which we do not approve of).

Good Big Brother

Everson is such a great big brother, most of the time. He wanted Canon to sit with him in Daddy's chair while they watched TV. Everson kept a firm hold around Canon to make sure he was safe.

Outside fun!

The weather was great today! We took advantage of a dry, sunny but still cool day and headed to our backyard. The three of us jumped on the trampoline, ran around in the grass/mud, kicked a ball around and of course went up and down the slide. Canon went down all by himself and loved it. I knew it was time to go in when Everson ran over to the door to the house and said, "Mom, I want to go in where it's warm and cozy!" Funny kid!

Broccoli

I was getting broccoli ready to steam when Canon kept whining and pointing to it. I thought he would take one little bite of it and spit it out

Who needs toys!

Apparently the toys in our house were either lame or we just didn't have enough. Why else would my niece, Kyrie, want to sit inside a drawer playing with a plastic cup and fork?

Hello Potty

It was very brave of Aunt Shel to let Everson hold her cell phone while he sat on his potty. I know what you are thinking, why would anyone be talking on the phone while they are on the toilet. Come on...you know you have done it before! Admit it!

(The cell phone was disinfected later!)

Water

Everson loves to play in the kitchen sink filling up my measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, cups, bowls, pretty much anything that will hold the tiniest amount of water. I thought it would be fun for him to play with some of his animals in the water and gave him the animals that actually would live or be in water in real life. Little did I know that he would want his entire container of animals. He told me they were swimming!
