This was Everson's first day of preschool. It was only half a day and a parent was suppose to go with them so I went with him. He was a little nervous, but warmed right up when he saw how many different kinds of animal toys they had. He met his teachers for the first time and really took to one of them, Mrs. Franklin. We can't believe he is in school.
Today was Everson's first full day of school. I admit I was a little nervous because he is the type of kid that does not like new things or being dropped off somewhere and not have myself or Todd staying with him. In the past he has cried and usually had to be restrained from running after us. While walking to his school, which is only a few blocks from our house, I kept talking about how they get to play all day and how much fun he would have. Everson kept asking me why I couldn't stay with him. I had warned the teachers a head of time that he might bust into tears but would be fine after I left. I prepared myself for the worst, but luckily Everson surprised me. We walked into the school, put his snack in his cubby, washed his hands, and found Mrs. Franklin who acted so excited to see Everson. He sat right down beside her, I said goodbye, he looked at me, didn't say a word, then continued his activity with Mrs. Franklin. I wasn't even going to chance saying goodbye again or giving him a kiss so I hustled out of there.
The time came to pick him up from school and he was full of smiles and told me he had so much fun! The teachers said he was great!
