He's growing up so fast!

You're wrong, I didn't mean Everson or Canon, I mean Todd. Yes, you read it right, Todd! He officially is a "normal" working man. Ever since we have been married Todd has worked from home. So, we have been around each other 24/7 for the past almost 7 years. Some say they couldn't be around there hubby that much, but it worked out great for us. The boys have also loved it. Having Daddy come upstairs to take a five minute break here and there throughout the day makes the boys so excited. Todd has had the luxury of never having to commute to work in horrible traffic and being able to see his boys throughout the day. We have all been spoiled.
Well, the time has come where Todd has grown into a real adult and now works out of the house.

He has done an amazing job working so hard on making the business grow. It has grown big enough to where our garage is not big enough to support all the work he has. So, the business has now been moved to a new location which makes him have to drive through traffic, pack a lunch, and spend less time with us, his family. We knew this day would come and we are excited that the business has gotten big enough to make this big move, but we sure are going to miss Daddy during the day!
Today was his first day working out of the house. Everson asked so many times where Daddy was and if he could go see him. He didn't seem that sad, just more confused because before when I said Daddy was working he would march downstairs, open the door to the garage and see his Daddy. It is a little different now, but it is cute to see how excited the boys are when Daddy's get home.

Being the blogging nerd that I am I had to take pictures of Todd's first day of work out of the house just so I could blog about it and of course have a picture of this day!
If I wasn't already a nerd for taking the picture inside the house, I ran outside and snapped a picture of Todd driving off. As you can tell by the look on his face in the picture he thought I was a little bit ridiculous. Oh well!

After Everson asked me for the millionth time where Daddy was I thought it would be cute to write a little not, have the boys hold it while I took a picture of them and email it to Todd at work. Everson did a good job holding it still for the camera.
When I put Canon on the couch next to Everson he immediately grabbed the picture and crumpled it up against his body. Many attempts were made to help him hold up the note, but all we got were tears and a death grip on the paper. It was worth a shot.

A nice Sunday evening

The weather was so pretty out so we decided to take a nice walk up to the rec center in our neighborhood. Everson and Canon had so much fun swinging and going down the slides! It was so nice to be outside enjoying the nice day.

Is it summer yet?

Our boys think it is already summer. All they wanted to do is play with water today, wearing nothing but underwear (until it got wet of course) or a diaper. They played out on the deck for about 30 minutes today until it was time for dinner. They were laughing at each other, getting everything including themselves wet and just running around. We can't wait until summer so we can do this every day!

This is by far Everson's most favorite thing to do outside! PEE!

Nursery Miracle

Everson did amazing in nursery today! Todd dropped him off, Everson cried for 5 minutes but then was totally fine for the rest of the time! HORRAY!! Canon goes into nursery the first Sunday in July. Let's hope he is just fine since his older brother is in there.

Kooza

We went and saw Cirque du Soleil's Kooza today and it was awesome! Everson watched in amazement and confusion. He didn't know what to expect and what exactly was going on. One thing he did know was that he did NOT like how loud the music was. We fixed that by covering his ears when it got too loud. Everson seemed a little more interested in the second half of the show. Maybe because now he understood a little bit more of what to expect. He pointed to things, asked questions, clapped and was in awe of the of the things he was seeing. It was so cute seeing his little eyes race from one part of the stage to the next trying to take it all in. At the very end when all the performers came on stage, Everson didn't stop waving at them and clapping for them. We couldn't have asked for him to have behaved any better. He was great!

He was very excited that he got his very own ticket. Of course Buzz Lightyear joined us in the fun (see Everson's left hand).
We didn't think Canon would enjoy the show so we left him own in the hands of Aunt Carin and cousin Kyrie. He had so much fun and didn't even care we were gone. I was expecting a big smile or him to run to me when we got home, but all I got was a look over his shoulder than back to eating he went. Usually he is a Mama's boy, but sometimes he is far from one.

Kyrie and Canon sitting on the couch drinking milk right after Canon got up from his nap. He is not always the happiest little guy when he wakes up but he is still so cute. Proof in below pictures!

Nursery Success

Everson stayed in nursery all by himself today. Sadly, he did cry for the first hour and a half on and off. The nursery leaders were great and by the last 30 minutes he was playing and having fun with the rest of the kids! Let's hope this is a good sign and things just get better from here!

More Trampoline Fun!

What can we say. We love our trampoline!

After coming in from jumping on the trampoline, Everson laid down and pretended he was asleep. I wish! A while ago he decided that he didn't need to take a nap anymore. We tried to prove him wrong, but he is now a NO NAPPER! Oh how my days have changed. Everson gets mad very easily between the hours of 1-3pm (his usual nap time). I have to admit I LOVED when both boys napped, but it is so cute to see how excited Everson gets when he hears that Canon is awake. Sometimes out of the blue he'll tell me he hears Canon and we should go get him, so I will listen and nope, Canon isn't making a peep. Everson then proceeds to tell me that he wants him to wake up so they can play!

All Wet!

It had rained earlier today but after dinner when Todd and I were trying to clean up we sent the boys out back to play since the sun had come out and it had warmed up a little. After quite a while, Everson runs in the house really excited about something he had just done. We asked him what he and Canon had been doing and he told us that he put water on Canon's head. We thought nothing of it until in runs Canon with his entire head wet and half his shirt wet. Both boys ran back outside and Todd and I followed them curious how Canon had gotten so wet. Luckily Everson was still so excited about the whole thing that he showed us exactly what they had been doing.

Everson had been using the rain water that puddled at the bottom of the basketball hoop, dipping his hands in it and then putting them on Canon's head. Let me tell you, it didn't look like the cleanest water, but it was keeping the boys happy and entertained so Todd and I let them continue to do it. Thank goodness Canon is so easy going that he just let his brother get him all wet.
To our surprise, Everson wasn't the only one that was getting Canon all wet!

Sam

Our friend MaryAnne and Sam come over the play today and we loved having them. Sam is six days older than Canon and such a cute boy. We played inside for a while but couldn't resist the temptation of the trampoline when it was warm enough to venture outside. Everson was so good with two little guys on the trampoline with him. Sam thought it was so much fun and laughed every time he fell down. All three boys played really well together.

Sam's hair got a little crazy after jumping for a bit!

Trampoline Fun!

The boys are getting really good on the trampoline. Canon is able to get some air under his jump and can most of the time withstand the bounces he gets from Everson trying to make him fall over. Everson has learned to do bump drops then land back on his feet and do a turn in the air.

Canon getting some air.
Everson is in love with Buzz Lightyear and wanted to take him on the trampoline so he could jump and fly really high together.

I hate weeds!

We decided to do some major weed pulling while Canon was taking his nap. Thank goodness, Everson, Mema, and Deda were so willing to help. We would not have gotten nearly as much done as we did. Everson of course had to have his own shovel and also decided he wanted to find worms, so we put some dirt in a basket and put the worms we found in it. Everson was so excited that he found the biggest worm out of them all. Our yard looked better after the hours all of us put in, but of course there is still more work to be done. Never ending!
