Yard Work

We again were blessed with another sunny day so out of the house we went. It was still a little bit chilly, but we can't complain. Our family went out into the yard to pull some weeds and replant some daffodil bulbs. Everson and Canon thought it was the coolest thing that they each got their own shovel. Canon dug right into the dirt and got completely messy, while Everson made sure that only thing that touched the dirt was his shovel. Everson's goal was to find worms, which he was successful.

Hard workers!
This little boy loved being in the dirt.
Should I try and eat this twig?
Oh yes!
Canon made sure he tasted everything. He licked his dirty shovel, sucked on a twig, ate some grass and even took a mouthful of dirt. The mouthful of dirt he did not like one bit.
They both were so happy the whole time and they were sad to have to go inside for lunch!
We couldn't have asked for cuter helpers!

Prayers

This is what we get to see when we say family prayer! Whenever Canon hears the word "prayer" he folds his arms. Tonight we told him it was time for our night prayer and he sat down and folded his arms and Everson started to say the prayer. I could not resist not taking a picture of this perfect moment, so in the middle of the prayer I got up and grabbed our camera that was just on the nearby bookshelf. Yes, it may have distracted Everson a little bit, but isn't this picture worth it?

Potty Training Continues

Sorry for the graphic picture, but this was too funny! Everson has been doing a great job potty training. No accidents to report yet. Today when he did his deed on the potty, he pointed out that his poo poo did not make it into the potty. As you can see, he was sitting too far back on his potty and instead of dropping into the potty like poo poo is suppose to, it got stuck. Everson was not very excited about this and needed an explanation why his poo wasn't in the potty! Thank you Todd for cleaning it up!

We are so lucky!

The weather has been beautiful and we have taken full advantage of it and gone outside to soak up some much needed rays.

Our Everson with his cool shades. His little blue eyes are so sensitive to the sun!
Everson was just sitting here watching Canon play with rocks.
Canon playing with rocks. He also enjoyed cleaning them with his mouth!
Our cute Canon! How can you not love him!
The boys were curious what was on the other side of the fence, so they decided to peek and see!

Another Beautiful Day

Our friends Heidi and Jordyn came over to play and enjoy the sunshine with us.

Jordyn and Heidi

Jordyn was so cute getting really excited and running over to her Momma as fast as her little legs would move and arms wide open ready for a hug!

Jordyn and Canon pretty much stuck by each other since they were both having a little trouble staying on their feet due to the uneven yard. Everson on the other hand as running circles around them and loved being the older kid of the group for the first time!

Yogurt

Canon is in that stage where he wants to feed himself and refusse food when I try and feed it to him. This is what happens when Canon decides he want to eat his yogurt without my help. I am just happy that he is eating yogurt and gets most of it in his mouth.

It's a MIRACLE!!

Everson has been doing great with his potty training. He goes pee pee without a problem in his potty and wears big boy pants all day. The problem was getting him to go numero dos! Well today was our lucky day! He has gone poo poo three times today in his potty. After celebrating with dancing, singing, high fives, and clapping, we asked him what he wanted as a reward for going poo poo, he said, "an Elmo and Cookie Monster party." So that is what we had to celebrate this wonderful occasion that we thought was never going to happen. Thank you Everson for being a big boy and saving us from changing anymore of your yucky poopy diapers!

I made this pictures black and white so it wouldn't be too gross to look at. Thanks Chiara for the idea.
The Elmo and Cookie Monster cakes that were requested by Poo Poo in the Potty Boy Everson!
The proud potty trained boy! Let's hope it is smooth sailing from here.

Keegan!

Our nephew, Keegan, is now working for us, okay mostly Todd, since I don't really do much if anything for our company. Anyway, the boys love seeing him everyday. Everson especially loves that Keegan let's him play games on his iphone everyday during Keegan's lunch. He is a hard worker and Todd loves it that Keegan can do a lot of the printing.

The boys at the window watching Keegan was out screens.
Banging on the window to get Keegan's attention so he will spray the window with the power washer. That is what Daddy does and they think it it so cool!
Having snack time and being silly!

Cousins

Today I watched my niece, Kyrie, for three hours in the morning. The boys loved having her over to play with. The three of them got along so well and were so cute!

Eating a snack

Everson tends to get in other peoples body bubbles. He just doesn't understand that people need and want their space!

Cute Kyrie eating a graham cracker. Shhhh, don't tell her parents I gave her one of those! :)
Canon and Kyrie were so cute at the table. They both thought it was so fun and funny to play footsie.

Happy Valentines Day!

I really stink at remembering to take a family picture during special occasions or Holiday's. Hopefully this year will be different. Right before we left for church this morning I got the family together to take picture, because I knew it would never happen if we waited until after church. The timer was set, I wrangled up Canon knelt down and flash, didn't make it in time. Todd also had to remind Everson that we would like him to smile instead of making a silly face.

This was our third and final attempt. I know, not the greatest picture, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Family Movie Night

We try and have family movie night once a month. Both boys enjoy it but still do not sit through the entire movie. Instead of watching a movie tonight we watched a few new Wonder Pets episodes. Wonder Pets is one of Everson's favorite shows.....we wish it wasn't. Anyway, tonight while watching the show Canon decided he wanted to sit by his big brother on their Sesame Street couch so he walked on over there and plopped down. Todd and I watched the boys instead of the show because they were so cute sitting there together.

Canon thought he was pretty cool sitting in his big brothers chair all by himself.
Canon was very excited that Everson let him sit next to him and share the blanket.
Oreo cookies for movie snack!

These are the faces they usually make when watching a show/movie. Canon loves to hold one of Todd's Xbox controllers while watching. He thinks he is playing a game.

Time Out

This is what happens when Everson gets put in time out for hurting Canon. I think this defeats the effectiveness of time out when your little brother, whom you have just hurt, goes over to keep you company.

I told Everson he had to look a little bit sad for being put in time out and this is the face he made.

Jumper

We have a jumper on our hands. Everson jumps off anything and everything he can. He of course also loves to jump over things, like pillows, blankets, books, and his little brother (which we do not approve of).

Good Big Brother

Everson is such a great big brother, most of the time. He wanted Canon to sit with him in Daddy's chair while they watched TV. Everson kept a firm hold around Canon to make sure he was safe.
